There is one truth about fishing that is rarely mentioned in fishing magazines but that all anglers know to be truth:
“Sometimes when you go fishing then you catch nothing”.
If you are an experienced fisherman and you don´t think this is right then you´re either the biggest liar or the best fisherman in the world.
Anyway, last week I went fishing on a fantastic spot on East Falster. The days before we had seen massive Western winds so I thought that a spot turning East might be the way to go to avoid overly brown waters and catch some seatrouts. I was wrong.
The water was full of seaweed and the water colour looked like milk. Sometimes I have caught seatrouts under similar conditions but this was simply too much.
One of my old fishing mates once said that if you don´t love nature then you´ll never succeed as a fisherman. I think that is so right. Some days you will catch nothing but that´s alright if the scenery is good, your lunchbox is stuffed and you have fun. Below are some photos from the day.
