Adam Rogowski had a great fishing debut in Copenhagen Harbour Yesterday. A huge effort was rewarded with a 2.6 kilo cod that took his brown/copper coloured zonker with a copper bead head.

Adam, who runs the fishing blog northnwild.com had booked a fishing trip with us Friday morning, and he met at 9.00 with Frederik who showed him around on some of the spots close to Langelinie. They fished on for four hours and even though they had a good time, then the cod seemed like they did not want to come out and play.
After Frederik left, Adam fished on and that was obviously a good idea. Here is his report:
“On Frederik’s suggestion in the afternoon I went to the rocks where the channel enters the main harbour and fished a hometied brown/copper coloured zonker with a copper bead head (I thought it could represent a worm or baitfish). Used a floating line and 10 foot leader of 12lb line. After about an hour I hooked into something big and heavy …
I weighed and measured it when I got home:
– 2.6kg
– 60cm”
Adam: That sure not is an everyday cod for streetfishermen in Copenhagen and to land it on a fly on your first trip is just something special. Big congrats from Frederik and I.
