Fishing trips in Copenhagen

Yesterday Dante and I went fishing with Brett, Dan and Mike from New York. The sun was shining, the cod were biting, the girls were impressed and the beer tasted great. Here is a short recap.

This week I guided Dana, Aigars and their friend on a fishing trip in Copenhagen. Or to be honest, it turned out to be them that guided me.

There is nothing quite like bicycling through the city in the direction of a quay that you know hold fish. This evening I did just that when I went to Orientkaj in Nordhavn. The spot didn´t fail to deliver. 

When Frederik guided the friendly fowks Deborah and David from Alaska on a streetfishing trip Yesterday they skipped the intro and got right to it. It didn´t take them long to catch their first Copenhagen cod. Read Frederik´s report here. 

This Autumn we are hosting a number of guided streetfishing trips with anglers from near and far. Yesterday we had the first trip of the season with beginners Mette and Marius who did really well. They learnt how to cast and fish the harbour successfully, and with a little help they even landed some fish.

Mackerel is widely known to be an easy fish to catch. But the giant shoals of mackerel that are currently swimming around Nordhavn have sure proven a challenging task both for me and other anglers.  For anglers it is not uncommon to catch 10 or 20 beautiful mackerels when fishing for them from tour boats, …
