Fishing Copenhagen

Fishing trips in Copenhagen

Nobody describes the Danish fishing in the spring better than ASAP Rocky:

I love bad seatrouts that’s my fucking problem.
and yea I like to fish I gotta fucking problem.
I love bad pikes that’s my fucking problem.
and yea I like to hustle in waders I gotta fucking problem

The spring has been great and even though I haven´t caught any real big trouts, I still can´t complain about my luck. Here is a short recap with highlights from March and April.

West Zealand hustle

I´ve had some epic trips to West Zealand hunting seatrouts in shallow waters and hitting jackpot on a very cold day in March. Read more about it through the links.

Havørred Fyn

I also had the good fortune of being invited for a guided tour by my main man Martin from Havørred Fyn. We visited four spots on the East coast of Fyn and we also caught a bit of smaller trouts. Quite an interesting day and I was especially surprised by how varied the coast is within a few kilometers on eastern Fyn. Just have a look:

Small brains – small pikes

After my Fyn frenzy I met up with my homie Morten for a day of pike fishing in Stege Nor. I have to admit I still haven´t found the recipe for success with the brackish pikes and I struggle catching them compared to the other anglers I meet when I am at the Nor. Never the less I still got a few smaller pikes and some photos of Morten eating cinnamon buns.

Swagging it at Møn

In the beginning of this week I took two days of from work to go fishing for trouts at Møn. The first day the weather was a bit too quiet for my taste but I still found a reef where the trouts were hunting. One of them – a 58 cm badboy – nailed my lure and was invited home for dinner.

The next day the weather got too windy and after some hours of fishing in water filled with weed (seaweed that is), I gave up and went on a photo tour instead.

Next up: Brakvandscup 2016

Now, the first garfish have arrived to the Danish coasts and this usually makes the seatrout fishing a bit more difficult. This means that my fishing starts focusing more on other species. Tomorrow I will go for the first garfish of the year and in less than a month I will participate in the tournament Brakvandscup 2016 with seven of the best anglers in Denmark. (Prize pool: Close to 1 million EURO). More about that later.
